No. We do not participate in or sponsor any political activities; support any political organization or politician; promote any political ideology, agenda, or position; or associate with any organizations that do.

The Society does not ask about or otherwise ascertain a person's religion so is unable to answer the question.


The Society is independent of all religious organizations and is not aligned with or supportive of any religious ideology or agenda.   The Society does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, sexual orientation, group affiliation, handicap/disability, political association, or veteran status in the recruitment, application, and acceptance of its members or in the recruitment, nomination, selection, or appointment of its Officers, Board of Directors, and Board of Advisors.

Our organization recognized that there is a major gap between American perceptions of and attitudes towards Northern Ireland and the current realities. This gap is a significant reason why there is not more American support of continuing peacemaking, recovery, and development efforts. We wanted to close this gap and bring more American attention and resources to bear on helping with these efforts.

Ulster is one of the four historic provinces of Ireland and is comprised of 9 counties. Six counties, Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Derry/Londonderry and Tyrone, form Northern Ireland in the country of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland1. Yes, our current board members are Americans. However, non-Americans are considered for and may become board members in the future.

Our mission is to increase and sustain American support of peacemaking and economic development in Northern Ireland. We reach out to all Americans, including those with Irish and Scots-Irish heritage, and non-Americans.

No. We are an independent organization that represents only the interests of our membership. We are not affiliated with any government, political, commercial, or religious organization.

We maintain a minimal physical presence and USPS Post Office Box in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We are primarily a virtual organization with no immediate no plans for a significant physical presence (e.g., building, office).

While we are founded by Americans and are incorporated in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (USA), participation in our organization is all-inclusive. All people regardless of nationality, citizenship, or country-of-origin are eligible to join.

No. We are an all-volunteer organization -- our staff and officers are not compensated.

Yes, our organization is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c) (3) of the [United States] Internal Revenue Code.  Contributions to our organization are deductible under section 170 of the Code.  Our organization is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.

Yes.  We accept contributions from individuals and organizations.  Contributions to our organization are tax deductible.

We do not accept contributions from organizations having discriminatory practices including "restricted" memberships or whose primary purpose is political or religious.

We are the only independent, non-profit, all-volunteer, grassroots organization founded by Americans committed to positively changing American perceptions and behaviors so they may contribute more towards a broad range of peacemaking and economic development in Northern Ireland.
