Ulster Orchestra seeks support from the US

The Ulster Orchestra, Northern Ireland’s only full time symphony orchestra, wishes to engage with US companies and citizens to support its future development.


The Orchestra is a registered charity and depends on private support of nearly £2m sterling per annum to ensure it is able to deliver a vibrant orchestral programme which includes a Popular Classics Series, Lunchtime Concert Series, Family Concerts as well as an education and outreach programme which touches the lives of some 31,000 people per annum.


There are many ways to get involved in the work of the Ulster Orchestra. For example:



  1. Principal sponsorship of the Ulster Orchestra e.g. Your Company Name Ulster Orchestra

  2. Sponsorship of individual concerts or series

  3. Attendance at or sponsorship of the Ulster Orchestra annual gala fundraising dinner held in the Ulster Hall, Belfast

  4. Advertising your company in the weekly Ulster Orchestra concert programme

  5. Support of CSR Projects which allow children in Northern Ireland to experience the work of the Ulster Orchestra

  6. Philanthropic donations

  7. Supporting an Ulster Orchestra US Tour

  8. Possibility of contra-deals or in-kind support from your own organisation

Ulster History and Genealogy Summer School

The Ulster Historical Foundation is hosting an Ulster History and Genealogy Summer School, in association with the University of Ulster, on June 20-26, 2010. Participants will be given assistance in researching their Ulster ancestors at archives and libraries in Belfast and visit historic sites. One highlight will be a visit to Barons Court, the private home of the Duke of Abercorn. Also, there will be an outing to the historic walled city of Derry. Click here to learn more.
